What to expect in season 3
Season 2 covers two main storylines from the manga series, Galopoula’s expedition to Earth to destroy Border’s Expedition Ship, and some of the early battles of the B-Rank Rank Battles Arc, both of which have begun in the first season. In the season 2 finale, the three-way competition between Tamakoma 2, Oji, and Ikoma Units continues. Kuga forces Oji and Oki to bail out with Chiki’s help. He himself is subsequently taken out by Ikoma. Chika then does a voluntary bail-out.
As Ikoma stands alone in the battleground, he momentarily thinks that they have won, but soon realizes that Tamakoma 2 has clinched victory with 4 points, while his unit has 3 points, and Oji’s has 2 points. Meanwhile, Hyuse performs remarkably during his tests, garnering attention from all corners. He even manages to hold his own against Ikoma. Although Hyuse eventually loses to Kei Tachikawa, he soon discovers that the man is the top attacker at Border. The finale episode ends as Hyuse formally joins Tamakoma 2.
In season 3, Tamakoma 2 might fight against Kageura Unit, Azuma Unit, and Suzunari First in their next round. Hyuse might take part in that battle as the fourth member of Tamakoma 2 and significantly contribute to their potential victory. The squad might then encounter Ninomiya Unit, Ikoma Unit, and Yuba Unit. After they have crossed all the hurdles, the squad might join the expedition team to Aftokrator.

MEGALOBOX is based on the series Tomorrow’s Joe, which was a landmark youth manga series in Japan. It tells the life story of its protagonist Joe Yabuki, who risks everything for boxing. The series ran in Weekly Shonen Magazine (Kodansha) from 1968 to 1973, moving readers so deeply that its popularity endures to this day. The television anime series MEGALOBOX was first released in April 2018, marking the 50th anniversary of the start of Tomorrow’s Joe. “MEGALOBOX” recreates the world of the original with an intense drama about a fierce fighting in the near future where people are fitted with gears. It is an ambitious, original work that has enjoyed great popularity as well. The series was particularly celebrated for its vintage filmmaking, which attempts to replicate the look and feel of classic cell animation. It has earned tremendous support abroad as well as in Japan, and was even nominated for a record-setting eight categories at the Anime Awards 2019, hosted by the American site Crunchyroll.

But what do you think of this first full look at the new season?
Gon, obviously. Midoriya is All Might’s prodigy and a future hero and whatever but like, there’s really no contest. He and Gon are on entirely different levels. Regardless of what sort of villain’s he’s fought, Midoriya is still a high schooler, being trained at the same level as other teenagers with the same career ambitions. Gon is a professional hunter, a job that most adults can’t even do. His jajanken is designed to kill people (he doesn’t usually use it to, but he most certainly can and has). Not that he would kill Midoriya, obviously, but he most certainly could. Then there’s also the fact that Midoriya’s strength is rooted almost entirely in one for all, but Gon is insanely strong outside of jajanken. That scene in heaven’s arena where he flipped that massive stone tile was before he even knew what nen was. Quirkless Midoriya is just another guy. Nenless Gon is the world’s buffest 12 year old. Hell, Gon without nen is as strong as beginner Midoriya was with one for all.
Also if we’re getting into a hypothetical fight let’s keep it real, there’s no way Midoriya would even attempt a fight with Gon. He’d take one look at him and decide he wasn’t about to fight a child. Gon, on the other hand, wouldn’t hesitate.
But that being said, they’re from two entirely different worlds and it’s hard to match them up against one another. If Midoriya was a hunter or Gon a hero it’s hard to say who would win.
About Gon
Gon Freecss is a Rookie Hunter and the son of Ging Freecss. Finding his father is Gon’s motivation in becoming a Hunter.
Izuku Midoriya is the main protagonist of the popular anime and manga series My Hero Academia. Izuku’s hero name is Deku. He was originally Quirkless but after meeting All Might and impressing him with his bravery, he gained One For All and became its ninth user.
Midorya vs Gon
Note: I’m using current manga Deku and Gon right before he lost his nen while fighting Pitou. This is them at their strongest points in each series AS OF NOW.
First we’ll talk about speed between them. It generally depends on the state of the two. For example how much percentage of OFA Midoriya is using, or how much nen Gon is using. Now if it’s adult Gon, it doesn’t matter what happens, he is ultimately faster than Midoriya no question, but say it wasn’t adult Gon, and just Gon using is regular amount of nen up to the point in which he maxes out. Midoriya would definitely be faster, also no question. This is because Gon’s ability focuses on strength and not speed, and Midoriya’s quirk focuses on multiple aspects, mainly strength and speed, in which his speed allows him to move at the speed of lightning.
Now lets look at each of their own individual skills and abilities
Isuku Midoriya
Midoriya has a power called One For All (OFA). At the time in the series, he has multiple quirks, 3 of which he has newly discovered. Let’s break down the quirks he has so far.
One for All- The power of One For All in general is a power that increases his speed, strength, agility, stamina, and basically his other physical capabilities. With this, he is able to move at the speed of lightning (that is why Greenish-teal colored lightning surrounds him while using his power), and he can change the amount of power he uses (by percentage).
Black Whip- Black Whip is a power that is in it’s prime or used best while the host of the power is angered. The whip(s) are dark energy that are able to be controlled flexibly by the host. They can be used to grab things, swing off of this like buildings, block hits, etc. This generally refers to the fact that this power can be used well for both defense and offense.
Float- Basically what it says. It allows him to float in the air. Using this ability he can fly/ glide in the air, however he has not yet been able to use this power to its full extent.
Danger sense- This ability causes sharp pain within Midoriya’s body the closer range and higher threat something is to him.
Gon Freecss
Gon uses nen, which is the life force of a human. His nen abilities fall under the category of enhancement, which allows him to increase his bodily strength. Lets take a look at his power moves and regular non nen abilities.
Jajanken- This is Gon’s Hatsu ability, allowing him to increase the nen strength in his body, which is generally in his hand. This ability includes three different techniques, rock, paper, and scissors. The rock is the main game, in which it increases his strength, and it is normally used in a punch. Next is paper, in which a blast of aura comes from Gon’s hand and causes a nen blast or explosion (big or small). Finally is scissors, which is very similar to rock, but it is like a blade of aura that surrounds Gon’s hand, making it incredibly easy for him to cut through almost anything he chooses.
Natural Born Senses- Growing up, Gon spent a lot of time in nature. He was born and learned to enhance incredible senses, including the ability to see in the dark, have a nose that’s better than a dogs, increased taste (taste something considered tasteless), see people from vast distances, smell when a strom is coming and how fast it will come, etc.
Natural healing Factor- Gon has natural born healing factors in his body that can heal injuries. For example, a broken arm that would take four months to heal would only take about a month for him. Or poison that is meant to leave him paralyzed for ten days only leaves him paralyzed for a few minutes to hours.
Hand to Hand Combat- with or without nen, Gon has some pretty good hand combat and agility, and can move his limbs much faster than any “regular” person.
Nen in general- Ten: By forming a shroud of aura around the user’s body, they can use it as a basic defense against Nen attacks, though it doesn’t protect against physical attacks. Ten also slows down the user’s aging process and keep their body from breaking down over time. Zetsu: Keeps the user’s aura from leaking out of their body, making them harder to sense and relieving fatigue, at the cost of leaving them defenseless against Nen attacks. Ren: Expands the size and intensity of the user’s aura to boost their strength and durability. Gyo: Focuses aura into a single part of the body to increase its strength, at the cost of leaving the rest of the body more vulnerable. Using Gyo on the eyes allows the user to see someone else’s aura, or other hidden objects. In: An advanced form of Zetsu that hides the user’s aura without forcing them to shut it off, making it perfect for sneak attacks. En: Expands the user’s aura in a spherical radius around them, letting them sense the shape and movement of anything that enters it. Shu: Extends the user’s aura onto an object that they’re holding, enhancing its strength. Ko: Concentrates all of the user’s aura into one part of their body, making it incredibly powerful, at the cost of the rest of the body being completely defenseless. Ken: A combination of Ten and Ren, using Ren to enhance the user’s aura before enveloping themselves with it, providing greater defense than Ten. Ryu: The real-time use of Gyo, shifting the concentration of aura between two body parts in quick succession.
Now for fighting styles of the two, Midoriya is an incredible strategist, and can come up with amazing plans of combat in seconds. Now it’s not to say that Gon can’t do this, but he’s not very used to doing it. He isn’t the type of person to think things through and often gets hurt because of it. If he is convinced that he needs a serious plan to acheive his goal, he can definitely come up with one, however he isn’t as fast or as good as Midoriya in this factor.
Midoriya’s advantages
I’ll begin with Midoriya’s advantages. He has stronger defense, his speed is generally much faster, he is much more intelligent, and he is much better and quicker at devising strategies. Now for Midoriya’s weaknesses. Although he has stronger defense- it’s riskier, his natural healing abilities and sense have almost no comparison to Gon’s, when it comes to pure and raw strength between Gon and Midoriya- Gon ranks higher as he can lift thousands of pounds and Midoriya can lift hundreds to maybe a little over 1 ton, his healing abilities are unmatched to Gon’s- making it that Gon can heal while in battle and Midoriya cannot, and he cannot see nen, because he can’t use nen, meaning he would be unable to see Gon’s attacks.
Gon’s advantages
Now for Gon’s advantages. He has In- which is a nen factor that will make him insensible and it is perfect for sneak attacks. He also has En, in which he can expand a certain amount of nen around him, which will allow him to know if anyone or anything is anywhere near him if it enters that circle of nen. Next is Gon’s hand to hand combat and natural abilities, which allow him an incredible ability of agility and physical strength, bodily durability, amazing senses of hearing, smelling, and tasting, etc. Gon also has higher raw power physical strength and more experience in hand to hand combat that doesn’t include using his abilities. Now for Gon’s disadvantages and weak points. He is very hard headed and selfish, which normally ends up with him getting hurt very badly. He isn’t very wise or careful, and has a large tendency to just rush into things. He does not match Midoriya in speed unless he is using his Limitation Transformation form.
Conclusion
Now with all of this said, I think you should be able to piece together the picture in which Gon would win. Both have their advantages and disadvantages, however Midoriya has a LOT less ways then Gon to counter his opponents attacks, considering if he can’t see what’s dealing him damage, then he would take a longer amount of time figuring out how to counter it which could be fatal.
The protagonist of the series, Monkey D. Luffy will undeniably end up as the Pirate King by the end of the series and in doing so, he’ll be the man who conquered all the seas. For Luffy to be able to do that, becoming the strongest of all-time is just as important
With lots of room to grow still, we’re sure that Luffy will become very powerful and possibly even surpass the likes of Gol D. Roger and Whitebeard in the process. Although that day is far away, every One Piece fan is waiting for it in anticipation.
About Luffy
Monkey D. Luffy , also known as “Straw Hat” Luffy, is a fictional characters and the main protaganist of the One Piece manga series, created by Eiichiro oda. Luffy made his debut in One Piece Chapter #1 as a young boy who acquires the properties of rubber after accidentally eating the supernatural Gum-Gum Fruit.
Born on May 5, Luffy dreamed of being a pirate since childhood. At the age of 17, Luffy sets sails from the East Blue Sea to the Grand Line in search of the legendary treasure, One Piece, to succeed Gol D. Roger as King of the Pirates. Luffy, captain of the Straw Hat Pirates, recruits crew members, fights antagonists, and aids and befriends the inhabitants of several islands on his journey. Usually cheerful, he becomes serious when he fights. Luffy uses his elasticity to concentrate his power, executing a range of attacks. In his signature attack, Gum-Gum Pistol, he slingshots punches at opponents from a distance. Luffy also grows stronger over the course of the story, as reflected in his “Bounty” which is used to measure the threat he poses to the World Government. He is the grandson of Monkey D. Garp and son of Monkey D. Dragon, but was raised by Curly Dadan, his foster mother, meeting Portgas D. Ace and Sabo, his adopted brothers, in their childhood.
Will Luffy be the strongest?
Some devil fruit powers are just too OP. Luffy can maximize his powers all he wants, awaken his DF etc, and he still won’t be the strongest. Luffy wants to be king of the pirates, his goal is not strength or to be the strongest- He’s just getting strong as a result of that goal. (And he was born insanely strong too)
But I am sure their are some DF users who will always be stronger than him, simply because of their unique ability. If the admiral( who ate the glimmer fruit has/will awaken, then he can shoot around at the speed of light- he already has a speed of light kick, and I’m assuming punch. And that just seems like the standard powers granted by the fruit. I can’t even imagine what the awakened version is like.
All 3 admirals
Lava guy- can take virtually any character out with a single direct punch. Even- *sniff sniff*…I can’t. still too painful.
Gravity admiral- awakened he could probably create black holes that appear just fast enough to suck up his opponent and then disappear, essentially meaning all he has to do is get close enough to a single part of your body to create them and then you’re dead.
Marshall D. Teach
But yeah- the point is that if Luffy’s goal was to be the strongest, then definitely. But that’s not his goal. His goal is to be free, and he can’t imagine another way of doing that besides being the King of the Pirates. He won’t shackle himself to a different goal like being the strongest. People might start calling him that, but new DF are always appearing, and its more likely than not that other super powerful DF will appear that make the user inherently more powerful than Luffy.
I can’t even imagine how Luffy will beat the Yonko who is immortal. That guy is massively powerful, and he has tried killing himself an uncountable number of times, and failed.
Why is Luffy so week these days ?
Luffy is starting to appear weak, especially in the Whole Cake Island and Wano arc.
Monkey D. Luffy will become the strongest character by the end of One Piece and fulfill his goal of becoming the Pirate King. In doing so, he will surpass Gold D. Roger and the ones before him to usher in an entirely new era. However, how long will it take?
According to Oda, One Piece has barely 40% of its plot left, which means that Luffy should have technically progressed a lot by this point.
However, in most of the Whole Cake Island Arc and now even in Wano, all we have done is seen him run away.
Sure, we did see a few epic fights like the one against Katakuri and Luffy’s overflowing cockiness in Wano, his strength still overwhelmingly falls short against his opponents.
Is Luffy getting weaker, or is there an entirely different reason for his lack of feats? Let’s analyze!
1.Strong opponents
Unlike other mainstream Shounen shows, Luffy does not automatically gain super-boosts while facing powerful opponents and instead exhibits normal human-like behavior. He fights when necessary and knows when to run away.
At the age of 19, Luffy has already defeated most of the 7 Warlords or befriended them. Furthermore, he has jumped levels and made Yonko Kaido his opponent. All of these feats make Luffy powerful enough to be titled the 5th Emperor.
However, he is still not capable of fighting his current enemy, Kaido, alone.
Warloads
In fact, it would be even more unconvincing if the Straw Hat Captain suddenly became strong enough to face the 4 Emperors. Thus, it is understandable why Luffy appears to be “weak” when facing these monsters.
2.Limitation of his devil fruit
Imagine a scenario where someone other than Luffy had consumed the Gomu Gomu no Mi. Would that person even reach a tenth of the heights the Straw Hat captain has reached? Probably not.
While the powers of the Rubber Devil Fruit are unquestionable, it is Luffy’s creativity that allowed him to achieve astonishing levels of strength. On its own, unfortunately, Gomu Gomu no Mi loses its glamour.
While Luffy has done his utmost to bring out the fruit’s strength through various forms, ranging from Gear 2 to 4, it places a lot of strain on his body.
The astonishingly powerful Gear 4 is unable to last a long time and consumes a lot of his energy. Furthermore, it isn’t easy to cook up new forms to better utilize the Devil Fruit.
The limitations of the Rubber Devil Fruit are stretched (pun intended) thanks to Luffy, but it is impossible for him to do so forever. Because of this exact reason, he appears weak compared to other characters with exceptionally powerful Devil Fruits.
3.Will Luffy Awaken His Devil Fruit?
Luffy is destined to become the Pirate King, which means that awakening his Devil Fruit is only a matter of time. While One Piece isn’t about a super OP main character dominating the world and is all about the journey and events, Luffy’s end goal means that he needs to grow stronger.
While it is possible that he won’t be the strongest, he will definitely be far more powerful than his present state.
Till now, Oda has managed to portray, foreshadow, and develop the one piece world brilliantly, and few moments feel forced.
With time, Luffy will naturally awaken his Devil Fruit and rise to greater heights. The question that fans now ask is what exactly will the Straw Hat Captain’s power be after that happens?
Some predict that Luffy will be able to create rubber and build a rubber world like Katakuri and Doflamingo, while others take a more humorous approach.
On Reddit, posts talking about Luffy’s DF awakening are aplenty, and quite a lot of upvotes go towards him gaining “Gomu Gomu no Bounce Castle,” which, let’s be honest, would be quite entertaining to watch.
Nevertheless, Luffy won’t remain weak for much longer, and Oda Sensei is bound to surprise us once again.
HXH (Hunter X Hunter), is about these extraordinary humans called “Hunters” who are well-respect human beings who also have special powers. The story focuses on 4 main characters of which the main character is Gon who has found out his father is alive and is a good Hunter. He makes interesting friends and they take the extremely difficult Hunter exam and pass. They spend the rest of the show fighting villains, finding rare objects and becoming successful. Each character has an excellent character development and has their own share of conflicts and problems.
here’s some quick facts Anime Status: Completed (148 episodes) Manga Status: Ongoing (352 chapters) Animation Studio: Madhouse Current Manga Arc: Dark Continent
Story
This story begins with a young boy, Gon Freecs who only has one goal, to meet his father. He leaves in order to become a hunter, and to find out what is so amazing about being a hunter that you would even abandon your own kid for. Along the way he makes 3 friends, revenge-seeking Kurapika, doctor-in-training Leorio, and ex-assassin Killua. Now when you are analyzing an anime, an important factor is how good the story is.
One of the key points in this is the fluidity between story arcs. The fluid transitions from one arc to a completely different arc are incredible, take YorkNew and Greed Island for example, one arc dealing with Kurapika challenging the Phantom Troupe to a ‘Video Game’ which Gon and Killua train their nen and try to beat Greed Island is completely amazing, and that’s only one of many fantastic transitions. The story is highly captivating, and makes you feel connected to the characters and their world. The world-building is also done in a way you have no idea what to expect along the journey, which a good anime should make you feel.
Characters
Although HxH’s primary strength lies in its writing, its characters come pretty damn close. HxH has a huge cast of characters. They have quirks, dreams, inner demons, world views and overall, really likable personalities. To top it off, most of them don’t follow generic character archetypes. Although some may initially come across as “generic”, these assumptions are gradually undermined as the series progresses.
If there’s one thing I want to emphasize in the character department it would be the series main villains. When it comes to characters, this is where the show shines the brightest. HxH villains are extremely well-written (with the exception of the Bomber who won’t apply to most of what I’ll say below). Not only are their characterizations independently impressive, they are also distinct from one another; no two villains are the same. This distinctness does not only apply within the series but outside of it. You won’t find another Hisoka, Chrollo or Ant King in any other anime. This is what makes HxH villains so compelling, in addition to having really impressive characterizations, they are also original. Although I excluded one out of the four main villains from most of what I wrote above, all HxH villains do have one thing in common. Each villain strikes fear into audience, the series does a good job of establishing the level of danger these characters bring to the story and our protagonists.
Soundtracks
I could rant about how much I adore the soundtrack all day, especially the character themes, but let’s get analytical. The most impressionable soundtrack for me was Gon’s, Leorio’s, and Hisoka’s theme. Killua’s and Kurapika’s were also really nice but you don’t get to hear it all the time. The soundtrack almost always matches the situation perfectly, except for a few instances. What a lot of people don’t like is that the opening song is the same throughout the entire anime, even though it rotates to the second version of the skiame song usually when a new arc starts. The endings are probably some of my favorite music of all time, with an exception of the 4th ending, which I don’t hate but isn’t particularly my favorite.
Animation
HxH also has great art and animation. The animation is done by Madhouse. It amazes me how a long-running series like HxH delivers consistent quality animation episode after episode, especially during the fights. The series does a great job of capturing facial expressions and everything from the lighting, shading and colors adjust perfectly depending on the mood of the scene or the tone of the arc. As one reviewer (nagaiyume) said, the bright colors of the show might need some getting used to, though it is usually fans of the old series who have this problem. Personally, I think it fits the show perfectly. It adds to the charm of the series by complementing its sense of adventure, uplifting atmosphere and unique appeal as a shonen that looks simple but is actually remarkably deep.
Negatives
However, while HxH is a great series it isn’t perfect. The series doesn’t have a strong start, it takes three episodes for show to get going. I’ve seen a lot of people drop HxH early and it sucks because the first two episodes don’t capture the series at all. Things start to get mildly interesting in the third episode, after that, the series just gets better and better. HxH also suffers from occasional BGM misuse. There are odd sound choices for some scenes. Sometimes they don’t really fit, other times they don’t fit it all. Lastly, the Chimera Ant arc also has minor issues with both Togashi and Madhouse to blame. Togashi’s fault lies in his writing during the middle of the CA arc which I think, pales in comparison to the rest of the series. Madhouse’s fault lies in its adaption of the manga chapters comprising episodes 113 and 115, which were dragged out in order to have episode 116 handled by their best animation team. Episode 113 was actually well paced except for one atrocious sequence while episode 115 as a whole was generally poorly paced.
Conclusion
Hunter x Hunter (2011) is an intelligent battle anime with a fantastic story, excellent characters and fights that involve a lot of strategy. Separating it from most of its genre, the series subverts shonen tropes and boasts unpredictable plot progressions that make it truly unique.
Personally, I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed an anime more than Hunter X Hunter (2011). It introduced me to many characters who are some of my all-time favorites. Every arc was completely unpredictable, bringing me new surprises along the way. I can safely say that I might never enjoy something as much as I enjoyed Hunter X Hunter, it’s been quite a ride.
